The Hispanic population of the U.S has recently surpassed its African-American population. This growth of Hispanics compared with African-Americans continues in both the overall population as well as in workforce participation. Such disproportionate growth may affect the attitudes of African Americans toward Hispanics as managers in the workforce. In view of these changes, the purpose of this study was to compare the current attitudes of African-Americans toward Hispanics and African-Americans as managers with the attitudes of these groups previously reported in Tomkiewicz et. al. (2002). A sample of white students was also surveyed in this study in order to evaluate their attitudes toward whites and Hispanics as managers. The purpose of this addition was twofold: 1) to contrast the attitudes of African-American and whites today, and 2) to see how white attitudes may have changed since a 1991 (Tomkiewicz, Brenner & Esinhart, 1991) study when Hispanics were a considerably less numerous presence in the population.
